UVA VRS is comprised of UVA students with a passion for emergency response and dedication to the UVA community.

Eligibility

UVA VRS members must have one or more of the following certifications. UVA VRS does not provide certification courses.

  1. NREMT
  2. VA EMT
  3. EVOC Class 2

Members must be an enrolled student at the University of Virginia presently or within the previous 5 years from membership.

Commitment

UVA VRS members are expected to work one 12 hour shift per week.

Compensation

Rescue Squad members are volunteers. There is no monetary compensation for participation.
